However, the retail industry wants to offer better tarrifs rates for downloading mp3.
The new competitor in the on-line retail market is Wal-Mart, a major retail distributor in U.S.A..
For this service Wal-Mart issues an invoice for 0.88$ per single (against 0.99$ for iTunes Music Store) and $9.44 per album (against $13.99 for iTunes Music Retail Store).
The songs downloaded are in WMA format and are compatible with most of cd and mp3 players.
The mp3 downloaded files could be burned with CD Writer on a writable CD.
In Europe, the first payable music mp3 downloading serviles could be launched as soon as this summer but not later than the end of the year.
